  1. Acceptance of the terms and conditions
    The Hirer agrees to these “Terms and Conditions” by submitting a completed booking form on the Rental Provider's website or by entering into a rental agreement for the commercial hire of movable property. Once the Rental Provider confirms the booking, the Hirer is entitled to hire the equipment ordered for the dates and to the extent specified in the booking. The Hirer will receive booking confirmation by email or, where applicable, by SMS at the address or number provided in the booking.
  2. Rental price and payment
    The price for hiring paddling equipment is agreed between the parties and is stated in both the booking confirmation and the rental agreement. The amount due is normally paid in cash when collecting the equipment, or by bank transfer to the Rental Provider's account.
  3. Cancelling a booking and cancellation terms
    The Hirer may cancel all or part of a booking by phone or email. The Hirer will receive confirmation of cancellation by email or, where applicable, by SMS. If the Hirer cancels less than 14 days before the start of the trip, the Rental Provider charges the Hirer cancellation fees as follows:

    14 - 7 days ....... 25% of the total booking price
    6 - 0 days ......... 50% of the total booking price

    Cancellation fees are calculated from the price of the reserved equipment after applying all discounts to which the Hirer was entitled when the booking was made. Boat transport costs are not included in the cancellation fee calculation. Passenger transport costs are included in full.

    The decisive date is the date on which the Rental Provider receives notice cancelling all or part of the booking.
    The Hirer must pay the cancellation fee to the Rental Provider without delay, either in cash or by bank transfer.

    The Rental Provider may cancel a booking if the selected section of the Berounka cannot be paddled (in particular because of high water levels and the declaration of the first flood alert level). The Rental Provider will inform the Hirer of this without delay. If another section of the river can be paddled, the booking will be moved to that section. If the trip cannot take place anywhere on the Berounka, the booking will either be cancelled or moved to another date by agreement with the Hirer.
  4. Collecting paddling equipment
    The hired items, namely paddling sports equipment, are inspected by both the Hirer and the Rental Provider upon handover. The equipment is in a condition suitable for normal use, allowing for ordinary wear consistent with its age. The Hirer confirms that they know how to use the hired items and have been informed of the instructions for use and safety rules necessary for their use, as required by Section 617 of the Civil Code. This applies in particular to buoyancy aids, which are flotation aids only and not life-saving devices, and to inflatable boats, in which air pressure must be regulated by releasing air, as temperature changes and expanding air could otherwise cause damage. Damage can also result from contact with sharp objects. Taking valuables into a boat is not recommended; the Rental Provider accepts no responsibility for items stored in a boat, dry barrels, dry bags or similar containers.
  5. Returning paddling equipment
    The Hirer undertakes to return the equipment in the condition in which it was received, allowing for normal wear. On the return date, the Hirer undertakes to return the equipment at the agreed place and time, no later than 18:00. Otherwise, the Rental Provider charges a waiting fee of 300 CZK for each hour or part of an hour. The Hirer must inform the Rental Provider of any change to the return place or time as soon as possible, with at least 3 hours' notice. If the equipment is not returned on time, the Hirer must pay rent until the date it is returned, in accordance with the Rental Provider's price list. By signing the rental agreement, the Hirer confirms that they have been informed of this price list.

    If the Hirer ends the rental early, the Rental Provider will not refund the payment or any part of it. In all other respects, this agreement for the hire of movable property is fully subject to Sections 721 – 723 of the Civil Code and other provisions of generally applicable legislation of the Czech Republic. Should a dispute arise from this agreement, the parties undertake to resolve it in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic and before the Czech authorities.
  6. Loss of or damage to paddling equipment
    The Hirer undertakes to take good care of the hired items and protect them against theft or damage. The Hirer is also responsible for damage caused by third parties whom they have allowed access to the hired equipment, whether knowingly or through negligence. If hired equipment is stolen, the Hirer must immediately report this to the Police of the Czech Republic and the Rental Provider. In the event of loss, theft or damage that cannot be repaired or where the repair cost would exceed the value of new equipment, the Hirer shall pay compensation in the following amounts:

    In the event of more extensive damage to the equipment, particularly inflatable boats bursting at a seam because of heat and expanding air, the Hirer shall pay the full repair cost. The Hirer must pay compensation without delay when returning the equipment.
  7. Insurance against damage to paddling equipment
    Insurance is free and covers only accidental damage caused by normal use. In such cases, the Hirer does not pay the full price of the equipment, but only a small excess. The excess varies according to the damage caused:

    a hole or crack in a plastic boat up to 20 cm - 500 CZK
    a hole or crack in a plastic boat over 20 cm - 1.000 CZK
    a puncture or tear in a raft up to 5 cm - 200 CZK
    a tear in a raft over 5 cm - 700 CZK
    other equipment damage (a broken paddle grip or shaft, damage to a buoyancy aid or dry barrel, a broken boat brace, etc.) - 100 CZK

    Insurance does not cover inflatable boats bursting due to heat, damage caused during transport, or any damage caused by fire. In such cases, the Hirer shall pay the full price of the equipment or repair — see clause 6.
  8. Consent to the storage of personal data
    The Hirer consents to the storage of personal data in the Rental Provider's database. The Rental Provider will not disclose personal data to third parties.

Instructions for handling inflatable boats (rafts)

  • Releasing air - sunlight heats and expands the air inside the raft. Air must be released from the raft to prevent mechanical damage. To do this, turn and remove the valve cap. Gently press the red valve button to release air to the required pressure, so that each section of the raft can always be pressed in slightly by hand. If the red button is pressed too far, the valve stays open and air continues to escape; press it again to close the valve. Replace the valve cap after releasing air. Repeat this for all valves, of which there are 5-10 depending on the type of raft.
  • Paddling over weirs - weirs may only be paddled when there is enough water and the raft does not scrape against the weir. If there is too little water at the weir, the raft must be carried around it. 
  • Only get into or out of the raft while it is afloat, and avoid contact with sharp objects. Smoking in the raft and using open flames near it are prohibited.
